Here are some FAQs regarding VoIP and the Vonage system:

What does VoIP actually stand for?
Voice over Internet Protocol which means that the call is routed via the internet
Can I choose my telephone number?
You can choose the STD code, so if you want to appear to be in Portsmouth you choose 02392
Can I still use the internet for my computer if someone is on the Vonage phone?
Yes, using both will not interfere with the quality of the call
Does my PC have to be on all the time?
No, as long as the router is on and plugged into the phone/ADSL line you computer/laptop can be off
Can I use an answer machine?
Yes, you can plug in any type of phone as long as it is touch tone but you can also use the built in Vonage answer service
Can I make emergency calls?
Unfortunately no, you will need another Spanish landline or mobile for this purpose
Can I make calls to mobiles?
Yes, you will be charged for these calls but charges are very competitive
What other services are included?
Voicemail + online message checking, 1471, caller display, ring back, plus many others…
Can I refer other people?
