With all the coastal bays in and around Xabia, diving is a great way to explore them and Diving Javea is one of the main scuba diving schools of the area offering dive lessons and PADI courses, plus boat excursions and business trips.

Diving Javea is owned by Javier, assisted by Mark, Jon & Audrey who are all experienced and qualified diving instructors.

Diving Courses & Specialties:

Deep Diving – to help gain experience and become familiar with diving up to 40 metres
Wreck Dives – previous diving experience necessary to dive to two wrecks in Javea waters
Nitrox – these repetitive dives will get you used to different mixtures of oxygen
Dry Suit – getting used to diving in a dry suit so you can go cave diving
Team Specialist – operational course to learn technical problem solving

L’Ancora Tennis Club

Fancy a game of Tennis? Then L’AncoraTennis Club is the place to go as they have two tennis clubs based there, L’Ancora International Tennis Club and the L’Ancora Tennis Club, and between them there is organised play on six days of the week. But as well as the actual game, the social aspect of tennis is a big part of the L’Ancora Club and there are a number of special social events held throughout the season.

Plus they also have a very strong emphasis on tennis for families and children and include free activities for junior members as well as a range of lessons and junior squads. The professional coaching is committed & very energetic but is always played out in a fun learning environment that the kids love.

Courts open to the public from 8 am – 1pm and 4pm – 9pm in winter and later in the summer €10 a court

Zumba Dance Classes & Body Toning

Want to get fit? Well if you fancy something more “dancey” then why not give Zumba a go!

Kimberley runs a variety of classes, including aerobics, aqua fit and body toning – in Javea in the function room at the Grand Café Toscamar, Luna Studio by the Salidar Hotel, Lady Elizabeth School on Cumbre del Sol and at the Buena Vista Tennis Club in Benissa.

So if you like a good workout that is fun as well as being good for you then check out what’s on offer below.

Zumba is sweeping the globe! If you haven’t heard of it yet it has been featured on television in the UK and has become quite the dance phenomenon in the US where it started, check out YouTube for examples of the steps & music. Based on latin dance moves it is a fantastic form of aerobic exercise while you feel that you are at a party! Great for general toning up and will help if you are trying to lose weight.

Girly Bitz – Tuesdays Grand Cafe

All round class with fun dance warm-up, with stretching & toning being the focus for the areas we all need to work on! Class uses weights & bands for resistance work plus floor work on mats. Great for legs, bums & tums and getting a general feeling of wellbeing.

Classes are held in Javea, Cumbre del Sol (Benitachell), Benissa and Denia
