Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine

Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant
Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant is located over looking the Arenal beach, across the road from the Masymas supermarket, next door to Tutti Frutti. It opened in June taking over from the Chinese restaurant.

The staff seem very friendly and speak English & Spanish equally well. The restaurant has seating outside on the terrace, although we were put off by the traffic being so close, and a large airy inside area where the bar is. It is decorated very tastefully and felt very comfortable.

The food was very nice, if a little on the bland side but Indian food does vary so much from place to place, but a good choice on the menu means there should be something to suit all tastes and is not overly complicated with too much choice. A take-away service is available with a 10% discount off the sit down menu prices.

Set menus start at €14,90 per person and single main meals range from €8,90 to €16,90 with a large selection of side dishes, rice and naans.

New for summer 2010 – Buffet style eating! Evenings is just €12.90 per person

  • Pakoras – vegetables, meat, seafood or cheese in gram flour batter

I went to Taj Mahal last week and the Indian food is ok and so far the best I’ve found in Javea but the outdoor seating is not for me as its on the main road over looking the car park by Masymas – The staff were very good and would recommend it to anyone looking for an Indian restaurant in Javea

My wife and I together with a friend visited this restaurant two weeks ago early evening. This was about our 4th or 5th visit and had previously found both the quality, service and price more than acceptable. However, on this particular evening staff were far too busy to serve us promptly from the full Al Carte Menu because they were preparing the “cheap buffett style” food. We ordered and ate a starter , main course each and one additional side dish between us, the total bill came in at 115 Euro´s which I was astounded at. In future we will go elsewhere.
