Moskito Chiringuito

Moskito is possibly the best known Chiringuito beach bar in Javea and one of the oldest to be situated on Avenida del Mediterraneo, along the gravel beach between the Arenal and port. Normally slightly earlier than the other bars along this stretch, it opens around April and closes for the winter in September.

Moskito says ” Take a shaker and add; 2 parts good vibe, 2 parts beautiful people, 1 part best music, 1 part best staff, 1 splash of the best parties of the summer, shake and serve in the best beach bar in Javea, Moskito let it bite!”

With friendly, attentive staff and welcoming, comfortable furniture you can enjoy a light snack as well as drinks and their famous cocktails. A good location for an afternoon appetiser or an evening of partying.

Mintt Chiringuito

Mintt is one of the chiringuitos (beach bar) on the gravel beach between the Arenal and the port area, open from around June to September.

Run by Leo and his friendly team it is the perfect place for a drink any time of day – they open at 8.30am! With happy hour running from 2-6pm with a beer just setting you back €1,30, there is a fantastic choice of cocktails, soft drinks or even milkshakes for the kids.

Set on the beach just off the main road you can sit back and relax while gazing out to sea and watching the sun go down!

Atalaya

Atalaya is situated above Scallops offering fantastic views over the Arenal beach, perfect for sunny afternoons relaxing on the terrace or a romantic dinner in the restaurant watching the sunset over the Montgo.

Once you climb the stairs from the promenade it almost seems like two establishments, with the Ibiza style bar on the right great for pre-dinner drinks or cocktails and the very slick looking restaurant to the left.

Atalaya is open 08.00 to 03.00 Sunday to Thursday and until 04.00 Friday and Saturday so you can party into the wee hours! Restaurant staff speak Spanish, English and German.

Sofia’s

Sofia’s is somewhat hidden away up between the port and old town, just up from the Lidl roundabout, but once you find it you’ll be welcomed by the friendly staff and cosy interior.

The waitresses are very knowledgeable of the food and are happy to ask the chef any questions you may have or for any alternations to the food you require. They also have a vegetarian option which is definitely unusual for Spain!

Sofia’s is open 19.30 to 22.00 Monday to Saturday, but closed Sundays and Mondays during December and February. Their menu is 22.50€ for three courses plus half a bottle of the house wine per person.

Acqua Bar Restaurant Steakhouse

Aqua Bar Steakhouse is right on the Arenal beach front, two along from the end by Scallops. It has a large outside section with a number of sofas and easy chairs right on the promenade you really do feel that it is a part of the beach and it is great to relax listening to the waves and watching the sunset with a fantastic cocktail. Alternatively you can sit inside which has a modern yet comfortable atmosphere.

The staff here are very friendly and the food is of a very high quality whether you choose something from the breakfast, tapas, snack or dinner menu selection. They also have a wide choice of cocktails, both alcoholic or non-alcoholic plus fresh fruit smoothies for a healthy alternative!

Open all day until late, the restaurant has a great atmosphere attracting a diverse clientèle making it a great meeting place for an evening with friends or a family meal out.
