Once you climb the stairs from the promenade it almost seems like two establishments, with the Ibiza style bar on the right great for pre-dinner drinks or cocktails and the very slick looking restaurant to the left.

Atalaya is open 08.00 to 03.00 Sunday to Thursday and until 04.00 Friday and Saturday so you can party into the wee hours! Restaurant staff speak Spanish, English and German.

The staff are very welcoming and there is always a good atmosphere in the restaurant, but we would strongly recommend that you book ahead to avoid disappointment as it really does get busy especially at weekends.

Pizzeria Pepa is open for lunch and dinner service and has a menu del dia/noche for €12.95 for a starter, pizza and dessert/coffee or order from the full menu with starters averaging around €8 and main courses at €15.

Sofia’s

The waitresses are very knowledgeable of the food and are happy to ask the chef any questions you may have or for any alternations to the food you require. They also have a vegetarian option which is definitely unusual for Spain!

Sofia’s is open 19.30 to 22.00 Monday to Saturday, but closed Sundays and Mondays during December and February. Their menu is 22.50€ for three courses plus half a bottle of the house wine per person.

The staff seem very friendly and speak English & Spanish equally well. The restaurant has seating outside on the terrace, although we were put off by the traffic being so close, and a large airy inside area where the bar is. It is decorated very tastefully and felt very comfortable.

The food was very nice, if a little on the bland side but Indian food does vary so much from place to place, but a good choice on the menu means there should be something to suit all tastes and is not overly complicated with too much choice. A take-away service is available with a 10% discount off the sit down menu prices.

Set menus start at €14,90 per person and single main meals range from €8,90 to €16,90 with a large selection of side dishes, rice and naans.

The staff here are very friendly and the food is of a very high quality whether you choose something from the breakfast, tapas, snack or dinner menu selection. They also have a wide choice of cocktails, both alcoholic or non-alcoholic plus fresh fruit smoothies for a healthy alternative!

Open all day until late, the restaurant has a great atmosphere attracting a diverse clientèle making it a great meeting place for an evening with friends or a family meal out.

La Boheme

The waiting staff are all very friendly, helpful, immaculately presented and knowledgeable of the food and wines. The ambience of the restaurant is warm and the decor is classy and more upmarket.

Meals are served lunchtimes and evenings from 7pm with a large selection of dishes including a wonderful choice of Tapas. This is not the cheapest restaurant along the Arenal but nor is it the most expensive but you are guaranteed a wonderful meal.

The staff seem very friendly and helpful and on Saturdays they have a resident musician “Woody” for entertainment while you dine.

They serve a menu del dia from 7.30 in the evening with the three courses being €8.95 with a bottle of the house wine being roughly the same price. The servings are small but for the price you do get good value for money.
