Pizzeria Pepa is definitely more than just a pizza place, there is a vast range of Italian inspired foods and it’s popularity with locals and holiday makers alike just goes to show the high quality!

The staff are very welcoming and there is always a good atmosphere in the restaurant, but we would strongly recommend that you book ahead to avoid disappointment as it really does get busy especially at weekends.

Pizzeria Pepa is open for lunch and dinner service and has a menu del dia/noche for €12.95 for a starter, pizza and dessert/coffee or order from the full menu with starters averaging around €8 and main courses at €15.

Mediterranean chicken breast filled with ricotta and pesto

Plus over 20 different pizzas and around 15 pasta dishes!

Restaurant opens 1pm until 4.30pm for lunch and then again at 7pm until late (kitchen closes 12am)

Sofia’s

Sofia’s is somewhat hidden away up between the port and old town, just up from the Lidl roundabout, but once you find it you’ll be welcomed by the friendly staff and cosy interior.

The waitresses are very knowledgeable of the food and are happy to ask the chef any questions you may have or for any alternations to the food you require. They also have a vegetarian option which is definitely unusual for Spain!

Sofia’s is open 19.30 to 22.00 Monday to Saturday, but closed Sundays and Mondays during December and February. Their menu is 22.50€ for three courses plus half a bottle of the house wine per person.

Roasted pork fillet with green beans, mash and marsala jus

Red plum & ginger crumble with cream, ice cream or custard
Chocolate & whisky cream mousse with shortbread biscuits

Restaurant Terracotta

Terracotta is a small but friendly restaurant located just off the main beach road at the Arenal and unless someone tells you were it is you will most likely miss it tucked away at the end of Calle San Rafael!

The staff seem very friendly and helpful and on Saturdays they have a resident musician “Woody” for entertainment while you dine.

They serve a menu del dia from 7.30 in the evening with the three courses being €8.95 with a bottle of the house wine being roughly the same price. The servings are small but for the price you do get good value for money.

Oven baked Chicken Tikka with cucumber and mint Raita served with roast garlic potatoes or chips
