Javea Green Bowls Club

The Inn on the Green is home to the Javea Green Bowls Club, which is also open to non-members for bowling and socialising in the bar area, and is run by Brian and Matt Taylor.

Membership fees are 335 euros for annual full membership and club mornings are on Tuesday, Friday & Sunday. Activities are organised throughout the week, including competitions & social functions such as quizzes.

The Facilities:

9 rinks in total, 7 club rinks – whites must be worn
2 rinks are ideal for beginners & visitors (whites are not essential)
Open to non-members & visitors – €10.00 for hire of bowls & shoes
Free coaching is available
Rinks can be floodlit for evening play if required
Drinks, Snacks and Meals are available daily
Over 150 members that play here and at venues throughout the Costa Blanca

Diving Javea

With all the coastal bays in and around Xabia, diving is a great way to explore them and Diving Javea is one of the main scuba diving schools of the area offering dive lessons and PADI courses, plus boat excursions and business trips.

Diving Javea is owned by Javier, assisted by Mark, Jon & Audrey who are all experienced and qualified diving instructors.

Diving Courses & Specialties:

Deep Diving – to help gain experience and become familiar with diving up to 40 metres
Wreck Dives – previous diving experience necessary to dive to two wrecks in Javea waters
Nitrox – these repetitive dives will get you used to different mixtures of oxygen
Dry Suit – getting used to diving in a dry suit so you can go cave diving
Team Specialist – operational course to learn technical problem solving

Packages are available including accommodation for scuba dive holidays.

L’Ancora Tennis Club

Fancy a game of Tennis? Then L’AncoraTennis Club is the place to go as they have two tennis clubs based there, L’Ancora International Tennis Club and the L’Ancora Tennis Club, and between them there is organised play on six days of the week. But as well as the actual game, the social aspect of tennis is a big part of the L’Ancora Club and there are a number of special social events held throughout the season.

Plus they also have a very strong emphasis on tennis for families and children and include free activities for junior members as well as a range of lessons and junior squads. The professional coaching is committed & very energetic but is always played out in a fun learning environment that the kids love.

4 hard courts with flood lights for night-time play
Individual & group lessons for children and adults
Courts open to the public from 8 am – 1pm and 4pm – 9pm in winter and later in the summer €10 a court

Javea’s rugby team!

Club training will take place on Mondays & Wednesdays and their matches will be played on a Saturday or Sunday. The new clubhouse & training ground is under way and will have a bar and restaurant, new changing rooms and a gym. The facilities will be open to members of the club but the bar and restaurant will be open to the public.
